Re: What does DFF mean

I have no idea what DFF means. But what happened was, they announced that the 7/8 matches would not take place - presumably because the tournament was running very late. With teams traveling from Blacksburg, Detroit and DC, they clearly wanted to let people get on the road.

FWIW, there didn't seem to be anything wrong with how the tournament ran. It started on time; the mats were constantly going; and they didn't take any breaks between rounds. In fact, they were rushing so much toward the end, that finals matches started whenever the next mat opened - no fanfare, etc. A little more fanfare about the finals actually might have been nice, but at that point, tournament offcials were trying to wrap things up. Overall, a very well run tournament. They might want to find space for a couple more mats (they had 6) if registration is the same or even more next year.
